Application requirements
Knowledge of fundamental components of electronic circuit systems: sensor technologies (e.g., temperature, pressure, optical, piezo), semiconductors, capacitors, power solutions, etc.
Knowledge of standard mathematical techniques for engineering and application in circuit analysis theory and digital electronics
Knowledge of passive and active RFID theologies, antenna design, communication protocols, radio signal propagation, and data reading/storage solutions
Knowledge of computer programming languages such as C/C++/Python and Java for embedded systems integration and interfacing
Experience in electronic circuit production in lab/industrial settings
Knowledge of applied mechanical engineering principles, such as stress and strain in engineering systems
Knowledge of CAE (computer-aided engineering) for product design and development
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to lead a project from the technical/scientific perspective and to produce research outputs such as academic papers
Be capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
Be able to work independently, make decisions and manage personal workload.
Be capable of communicating complex concepts clearly to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical and scientific background.
Knowledge/application of coaching, mentoring, and personnel development approaches
Knowledge or experience in converting a prototype into a commercial product.
Fluent in the English language.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A strong understanding of digital signal processing

In addition:

  • Ideally, have some experience in acoustics/ultrasonics.
  • The Associate is expected to play a major role in coordinating the stakeholders involved in this project, so they must have good communication and organization skills.
