Summary

You will be expected to:
-Review engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded.
-Perform welding/plating activities.
-Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output.
-Ensure production timings are met/exceeded.
-Follow company rules and adhere to procedures & Health and Safety standards.
-Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer expectation/quality requirements.
-Carry out and record daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and safety checks
-Ensure correct marking up of component parts.

To be successful, you must have:
-A minimum of 2 years welding/fabricating experience.
-The ability to read engineering drawings.
-The ability to work effectively and use own initiative.

This is an ongoing, fulltime role.

This position is fixed days, Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4pm.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have the following:

  • Minimum of an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, although a degree and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is preferred.
  • Significant experience of the design, construction and operation of electricity distribution networks
  • Significant experience in applying the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 to technically complex projects
  • Experience securing both voluntary and statutory consents for utility projects
  • A detailed working knowledge of consenting procedures, planning processes and legislative requirements
  • First class communication skills with ability to convey your position clearly, negotiate, influence, inspire and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong financial acumen
  • A full, current driving licence.
